LifeBrandz Events microsite

A microsite was developed for LifeBrandz’ events team for their venue hire. A PHP script was modified to build the form, including live form validation using jQuery to prevent errors submitting. For the images on the top row, an accordion effect was applied using jQuery as well.

COCO Club

I conceptualized and designed the website for this brand-new oriental-themed entertainment club, COCO, located at Clarke Quay.

The background was an edited footage of one of the opening parties, a looping video enabled in flash. The tabbing sections on each page as well as the slideshow and the bottom navigation are all scripts that run on the jQuery library. The website, being rather small, was coded in plain HTML.

illustration and poster design for the Lunar New Year special edition for Zirca’s resident night LOLLIPOP WEEKEND. the girl was drawn and coloured in illustrator, as was the layout, and then brought over to photoshop to overlay with a texture.

LifeBrandz Christmas Card 2011

A quick christmas card design for LifeBrandz to be sent out to their corporate clients and suppliers. Due to time limitations, I downloaded a stock vector of a christmas tree design and overlaid it with hanging balls emblazoned with each of the outlets’ logos.

SKREAM & BENGA, ZIRCA Jan2012

Promotional design for ZIRCA for January 2012. As we are having major guest DJs SKREAM & BENGA grace the club on 13th of January, the direction was to feature the duo prominently in all our marketing collaterals which include flyer, ads in JUICE magazine, outdoor posters and electronic direct mailer.

For our B5 sized flyer, we did digital print on 300gsm ivory card. I designed a seamless triangle pattern for the background which was coated in transparent spot UV. This produces a nice shimmery effect with texture, revealing the triangle patterns when observed under light, which I must say is rather addictive (hehe). The spot UV was only applied for the background and the sponsor logos.

Ober Blunck Denim is a bespoke jeansmith’s commercial website which had already been designed and was commissioned to me for coding on a suitable content management system for easy updating on the client side. The entire site is coded and runs on WordPress engine, fully customized to fit the client’s design.

For this project, I harnessed the extraordinary features of CSS3 and HTML5 (with a compatibility javascript include for IE). There was also jQuery involved for the slideshow presentation of the background image, with most of the element layers controlled by z-index and absolute positioning. The client also requested embedding of ecwid, an ecommerce widget platform, which was included using the ecwid plugin for wordpress.

Webdesign by Adam of zero3sixty5.com was passed on to me to code and implement as a WordPress theme so that the client may make use of WordPress as a Content Management System to update their site.

Christmas Menu Poster for Borgata

A simple poster promoting the christmas menu of an authentic italian restaurant, Borgata Trattoria Osteria at Clarke Quay.

The photo at the bottom was shot by me and vectorscum on venue at Borgata a few months ago on a sunny afternoon. We chose generic ingredients of a typical italian meal — olive oil, peppers, pasta, bread, tomatoes, basil. The photoshoot was originally done for the outlet website (which I designed and coded), but we revisited our photo catalogue from that shoot for this christmas menu poster.
